Welcome to BioLogger. These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the BioLogger platform and services. By creating an account or using our service, you agree to be bound by these Terms.

1. Service Description

BioLogger is a personal health and wellness tracking platform that allows you to:

• Track body composition, measurements, and other health metrics
• View trends and correlations in your tracked data
• Connect with supported health devices and services
• Export your data for personal use
• Access insights generated from your data

2. Account Terms

• Account Creation: You must provide accurate information when creating your account. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials.
• Account Requirements: You must be at least 16 years old to use BioLogger. By creating an account, you represent that you meet this requirement.
• One Account Per Person: Each individual may only maintain one account. Sharing account credentials is not permitted.
• Account Security: You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account. Notify us immediately of any unauthorized use.

3. Free Service & Usage

Free Access

BioLogger is currently offered as a free portfolio project. You have full access to all features by signing up with your Google account. No payment or credit card information is required.

AI Token Limits

While most features are unlimited, AI-powered chat features use computational tokens and may have usage limits to prevent abuse. All other features (manual entry, tracking, correlations, exports, etc.) are unlimited and free.

Grandfathered Access

Early users who sign up now will be grandfathered in with free access to all features forever, even if we introduce paid tiers for new users in the future. Your free access will not be revoked, though AI token limits may still apply.

Future Pricing Changes

• No Charges for Current Users: If we introduce paid plans in the future, current users (those who signed up during the free period) will maintain free access to all existing features.
• New User Pricing: We reserve the right to introduce paid tiers for new users who sign up after we announce pricing changes. Any such changes will be clearly communicated in advance.
• No Hidden Fees: We will never charge current users without explicit consent and advance notice of at least 30 days.

Account Termination

You may delete your account at any time through your account settings. We recommend exporting your data before deleting your account, as this action is irreversible and all your data will be permanently deleted.

4. User Responsibilities

When using BioLogger, you agree to:

• Provide accurate information and keep your profile up to date
• Use the service only for personal, non-commercial purposes
• Not attempt to access other users' data or accounts
• Not interfere with or disrupt the service
• Not use automated tools to scrape or access the service
• Not upload malicious content or attempt to compromise security
• Comply with all applicable laws and regulations

Prohibited Uses

You may not use BioLogger to:

• Harass, abuse, or harm others
• Impersonate any person or entity
• Violate intellectual property rights
• Distribute spam or unsolicited communications
• Engage in any illegal activity

5. Intellectual Property

• Our Content: The BioLogger service, including its design, features, and content (excluding user data), is owned by BioLogger and protected by intellectual property laws.
• Your Data: You retain ownership of the data you input into BioLogger. By using the service, you grant us a license to process your data as necessary to provide the service.
• Feedback: If you provide feedback or suggestions, we may use them without obligation to you.

BioLogger may integrate with third-party services (Garmin, Fitbit, Freestyle Libre, etc.). Your use of these integrations is subject to the terms and privacy policies of those third parties. We are not responsible for the availability or functionality of third-party services.

Important: Any data you submit to BioLogger through third-party device integrations (including Garmin Connect, Fitbit, and others) is submitted to BioLogger and not to the device manufacturer. The device manufacturer has no responsibility or liability for any data you submit to BioLogger through their integration.

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless BioLogger and its officers, directors, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, losses, liabilities, and expenses (including legal fees) arising from your use of the service, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of any third-party rights.

9. Termination

• By You: You may terminate your account at any time by deleting your account through the settings page or by contacting us.
• By Us: We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these Terms, engage in fraudulent activity, or for any other reason at our discretion with reasonable notice.
• Effect of Termination: Upon termination, your right to use the service ceases immediately. We will delete your data within 30 days, unless required to retain it by law.
• Survival: Sections relating to intellectual property, limitation of liability, indemnification, and dispute resolution survive termination.

• Governing Law: These Terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction where BioLogger is incorporated.

We may modify these Terms at any time. We will notify you of material changes by posting a notice on the service or sending you an email. Your continued use of the service after changes become effective constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.

12. General Provisions

• Severability: If any provision of these Terms is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue in effect.
• Entire Agreement: These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and BioLogger.
• No Waiver: Our failure to enforce any right or provision does not constitute a waiver of that right.
• Assignment: You may not assign your rights under these Terms. We may assign our rights to an affiliate or successor.
